Nature Sessions

Year 1 have been getting really stuck (in the mud) into their learning this term. They are enjoying weekly nature sessions and learning outside!

Parliamentary visit

This morning, we had a visit from Rachael at Parliamentary outreach, building on our previous visit from Chris Webb MP. Rachael held and assembly for all Juniors about parliament and year 6 went on to enjoy a workshop of voting and elections.

Our year 5 and 6 children went to sing for the residents of Pennystone Court, spreading a little Christmas cheer.

Grundy visits

The first of our visits to the Grundy library and gallery happened this week. We were lucky to have stories read by Jules before going to see the work of artist JASON WILSHER-MILLS.

Chess Champion

Well done to our team of three Chess players who went to the St. Chad's schools' Chess Tournament and only went and won! Superb!

Symposium #2

Our school student council went to Blackpool youth symposium and met with Lancashire Constabulary. We discussed how we felt about our town and why sometimes we don't feel safe. We even got to sit in a Police car!

Y6 Author Visit

Year 6 went to visit Anchorsholme where we had the privilege of seeing author Phil Earle. Phil told us all about how he became a writer - he was very inspiring.

VE Day

We had a wonderful time celebrating 80 years since Victory in Europe. We enjoyed a wartime sing-a-long and a Hoy Family Street party picnic!

Blackpool's youth symposium

Our school council presented at the first Youth Symposium for Blackpool, held at Revoe Academy. We discussed what makes us proud about our town but also where we could make improvements.
