Athletic success!
Congratulations to our year 3 and 4 athletics team who were also successful at the Blackpool athletics competition this week.
Grundy visits
The first of our visits to the Grundy library and gallery happened this week. We were lucky to have stories read by Jules before going to see the work of artist JASON WILSHER-MILLS.
Choir and coffee
We served up a treat, both musical and sweet, for our choir and coffee event this week. This event is not only to showcase the fantastic work of our school choirs but also to involve and serve our community. Our student council were on hand to serve teas, coffees and sweet treats and also set a very tricky quiz! We had a fantastic turn out of our local parishioners; thanks to all who came.
Athletic success
Our year 5 and 6 athletics team were successful at the recent Blackpool schools' athletics tournament at Stanley Park. Well done to all the boys and girls involved and a huge thank you to Mrs Unsworth for training the squad.
Harvest Donations
Our Head Pupils took our donation to the Blackpool Food Bank. thank you to all of you that sent in a donation. The food bank told us that last year they gave out over 800,000 food parcels to families in our local area. your donations will make a difference and truly show how we 'love our neighbour'.

We rocked crazy hair and battled each other times table rockstar style!
Exposition
Year 5 and 6 attended church with Father David and were witnesses to exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Visit from Chris Webb MP
Chris Webb MP came to visit our school and told us all about democracy and how he became the MP for Blackpool South. After touring the school and meeting all our pupils, he enjoyed an extensive Q&A session with years 5 and 6 before separately meeting with our student council who were able to tell him what they have been up to.
Wear Yellow for Mental Health

Rosary Club
Our Governor, Eileen, came in today on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary to start our Rosary club for October. Eileen taught our chaplaincy team how to pray the rosary and the team will then be teaching other children to do the same in Rosary club after every assembly on Monday in October.
Year 5 & 6 litter picking for the Feast of St Francis
Year 5 and 6 pupils showed care for God's creation last Friday when they took part in a litter pick around our school and church grounds. They filled five bags of discarded waste from just the local area. This activity was inspired by St Francis, the patron saint of the environment.
