Mrs Brayshaw and Mrs Patmore have been very busy gathering art and creating magnificent models, ready for the Young Seasiders competition.
Lent 2026
We began Lent here at Holy Family with the receipt of the ashes. Father David also came to hear year 5 and 6 confession.
SCHOOLS ALIVE!
23 of our pupils danced their socks off at the Winter Gardens SCHOOLS ALIVE! festival of dance. They were superb, showing what can be achieved when you are dedicated. Thanks to Mrs Kelsh-Ridge and Mrs Salt for all their hard work preparing the children for this event.
WINNERS!
HUGE congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 athletics team who are winners of the Blackpool games and now go onto to represent Blackpool at the Lancashire games. Massive thanks to Mrs Unsworth who tirelessly trains our children for the events.
Parliamentary visit
This morning, we had a visit from Rachael at Parliamentary outreach, building on our previous visit from Chris Webb MP. Rachael held and assembly for all Juniors about parliament and year 6 went on to enjoy a workshop of voting and elections.
Singing at Pennystone Court
Our year 5 and 6 children went to sing for the residents of Pennystone Court, spreading a little Christmas cheer.
Panto-tastic!
Lots of laughs were had at this year's school pantomime of Dick Whittington.
Girls equality mark for football
A massive congratulations to our school as we have achieved equal access!! The England Football/FA measure the percentage of girls that have equal access to football in PE lessons across the country and our school has made the grade.
Athletic success!
Congratulations to our year 3 and 4 athletics team who were also successful at the Blackpool athletics competition this week.
Advent Mass
A beautiful shared Advent celebration was had at Christ the King church, shared with all the local catholic primary schools. What a glorious way to share the true meaning of Advent.
Grundy visits
The first of our visits to the Grundy library and gallery happened this week. We were lucky to have stories read by Jules before going to see the work of artist JASON WILSHER-MILLS.
