Reception Parents' breakfast
Thank you to all of our Reception families that made it to our breakfast this morning, celebrating the first half term together. It was great to see you all.
Sunday Mass at Holy Family
Thank you to all of our families that joined us at church for mass on Sunday. Our children read beautifully. We were also pleased to see lots of our parishioners taking apples from our shared harvest.
Season of Creation community work
This week, Years 4 and 5 have been down to Claremont Community centre to help plant spring bulbs.
Y6 pilgrimage
Year 6 travelled to Fernyhalgh, just a few miles from the bustling centre of Preston, to visit a sacred place steeped in over a thousand years of prayer and devotion. Year 6 shared Mass with Father David before enjoying the grounds of the shrine.
Claremont Food bank - Harvest donation
We took our Harvest donation to Claremont Food bank, where we will be helping those in our immediate area. Some of these items are also good for 'Kettle-bags' and will help those in our local area who do not have access to a kitchen. Our Chair of Governors, Mr Ian Hunter, came with us to share in our community action.
Y2 Glow football
A lot of fun was had at this week's Glow Football! Our year 2 children had a wonderful time.

Harvest thanks
Thank you for all of your generous donations to our harvest collection this year.
Y6 meet author Jessica Townsend
Year 6 travelled to Anchorsholme to meet with author of the Nevermoor series Jessica Townsend. Imagine if one of our children is inspired to become an author themselves!
Blackpool Symposium
Our school council gathered with 7 other schools: Westminster, St. John’s, St. John Vianney, Gateway, St. Kentigern’s, Devonshire and Revoe, to learn all about democracy and the voting process. The children took part in a real ballot and voted for the question: ‘Should 16 year olds have the vote?’ The vote in favour of the vote for 16 year olds was won by a margin!
Care for creation Mass
Today we took part in a special mass at English Martyrs Church (our trust headquarters) to celebrate the 800th anniversary of St. Francis and how we need to care for our planet.
